Qualifications

Kerri Salter is a Child Psychologist and the principal at Kidz Time In. Kerri has worked with children and families in multiple settings including Child Development, Child and Youth Mental Health and in private practice for over 15 years.

Although new to the Gold Coast, Kerri formally ran a successful private practice in Emerald, Central Qld for several years.
Kerri has worked extensively with a wide range of children including those experiencing slight difficulties through to children in care. Kerri is a Registered Psychologist with a Masters in Special Education. Kerri has successfully supported children with Autism to develop socially and emotionally and has had original research published in an international journal in this area. Kerri has undergone training, and extensive supervision in the mode of Non-Directive Play Therapy. She has presented in educational and health settings and at an International Play Therapy Conference in Brisbane. Some of the other modes of therapy that Kerri has experience in and has been trained in include; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation Therapy.
While referrals will be assessed individually, Kidz Time in Specialises in supporting children aged 8 years and younger.
