Child/Parent Relationship Training

Child – Parent Relationship Training (CPR-T) Also called Filial Therapy.

In these sessions parents/carers have training to enable them to be the one to support their child make therapeutic changes. The exciting thing is that parents/carers learn new skills along the way, while also strengthening their relationship with their child as they work through current issues. Research has shown that motivated parents can be trained to be as effective as child therapists using play therapy skills with their own children. Ideally this is set up for 10 sessions.
